I don't feel like working at the moment so let me recap the weekend. Friday night me, Heather and Karen went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner and then saw the Sex and the City movie. We are probably the last ones to see it, but it was worth the wait. It was a long movie, but I did not even notice. Saturday I basically shopped all day (or at least felt like it) then went to Stevie and Gina's wedding shower up at Mike and Mae Ellen's. For a shower it was pretty nice and with Mike cooking the food is always good. We left around 12:30am and just went home. Sunday I cleaned, as usual. Even was able to get Nate up to do a little of it. After that we went over to the doggie park to let Spencer get some lead out. Nate claims that the last time he took Spencer to PetSmart, he was 3 lbs heavier that when we first got him, which for a 22 lb dog, that is a lot. Seeing Spencer every day I don't think he has gained any weight, but at the park on Sunday he ran for about 15 minutes and was spent. He used to run for 2 hours straight, even in the Georgia heat!
Anyway, the day is almost over and I have a facial at 4:45 which I cannot wait to get. Love Love Love facials! I have been looking forward to this since I made the appointment last week...
Just a general "what's happening" in the lives of the Georgia Mansfield's - Nate, Heather, Emersen and Spencer.

Back to reality
Monday I got back from the Red Mountain Spa in St George, Utah. This was my first spa trip and definately will not be my last. This spa wasn't all about getting pampered, it was also about being healthy with exercise and eating. We (me, Nikki and moma) flew into Vegas, as it was the closest big airport, then rented a car and drove up to St George. It was not to bad of a drive, only about an hour and a half and all interstate.
So when we get there we were just wow'd by the beauty of it all. Being from the east you don't see mountains and colors like there is out west. That night we crashed pretty early that night since we had all gotten up early and were still on east coast time.
Friday we went to Zion National Park. I have to say, this is the first national park I have ever been to. My parents, or mostly my dad, are not the outdoorsy type, so our trips are usually cruises or to big cities. Zion was pretty cool and we got some amazing pictures. Our first hike was the Hidden Canyon trail. This was one of the tougher trails and about half way moma started feeling nautious. She told us to go on, which we did. Some time later we were talking to some other hikers that were on their way back and they said it was another 30-45 minutes to the hidden canyon. At that point we turned around because we didn't want moma to just be sitting by herself the whole day. After that we did an easier trail, the Middle Emerald Pools trail. It was definately not as scenic as the other trail, except there was a couple of waterfalls.
Saturday we spent the day at the spa. Did a hike in the morning, pool exercise class after the hike then in the afternoon had massages. I had the Desert Rain Massage, it was nice, but no hot stone massage :-)
Sunday we did another spa hike in the morning and then checked out after lunch. We stayed in Vegas for the night and went to see Spamalot. I didn't have much expectations for this show, but it turned out to be really good and pretty freekin funny. The king was played by Elaine's boss on Sienfield - J. Peterman. I can't think of this real name at the moment. We left Monday morning at 6am (ouch!!) but it was nice to be back home at a decent hour.
So now I am back to work and reality and ready for my next vacation...but not sure when that will be...
