2009 - year of babies!

So we just found out that some more friends are expecting. Julie and Dave are due around July 18th. That now makes 4 babies within a month and a half. First we have Ada and Nick due June 2nd, then April and Matty due June 20th, then us at July 2nd. Complete craziness!!

My first baby...

With all the baby news, I can't forget about my first baby Spencer. Here are some hudgeable pictures of our furry baby!

The day that changed our lives!

Lets go back to Sunday, November 2nd - something didn't feel normal and I was not able to pinpoint what exactly it was. While Nate was grilling dinner, I decided to take a pregnancy test and this is what I got...Well that picture was actually after the first one came back positive, very shakingly I told Nate, and then had to go to Kroger to get another test just to be 100% sure. But they both came back positive.

Since then I have had 3 sonograms, the latest one actually looked like a baby. It was so surreal, baby Mansfield was moving his/her arms and legs. Looked like he/she was swimming, definatly something from the Lee side of the family.

Lets jump back to today, Sunday, December 14. I am about 12 weeks right now, and my due date is July 2, 2009. Our next apointment is this Thursday with someone other than my obgyn. This doctor will do more testing to make sure there is nothing wrong with baby Mansfield. We also get another sonogram, I think. This weekend was our coming out weekend, letting friends know the BIG news. Might also tell work this week, though a couple of my co-workers have figured me out already. I am a horrible liar!

Is it Friday yet?

I have only been in the office since Tuesday and had 6 days off prior to that, but this week is dragging! I only came back to 340 emails, but unfortunately hardly any of them were junk. It look me almost 3.5 hours to go through them and figure out what the heck I missed in my 2 days off from work.

I think this week is dragging because I am just really tired. I have been going to bed pretty early and not even making it to the gym in the morning, but by midday I am just exhausted.

So the trip was great, fam was good, food was excellent. I once again did not watch my moma cook. Laying on the couch as usual, though at least I was napping and not just watching TV. I finished the book Twilight, which I am not hooked on and am going to buy the next book New Moon this weekend and start on that one.

Right now I am also in the process of getting up all of my Christmas decorations. The tree is up, our new 7ft tree, that I got after Christmas last year. I like the tree, but I opted for white lights instead of colored. I have always had colored lights, growing up we always had colored lights. I am now kind of regretting not sticking with colored. The white lights are pretty and all, but they don't go with the decorations. Our tree is a mishmash of all different types of ornaments. There is no rhyme or reason to it, its just ornaments that I have bought, moma has bought, Jeannine has bought. I guess I will have to live with it for a few years until Nate lets me get a new one...It's really not so bad :-)
