2011 Resolutions

We are now 8 days into the new year. Nate and I are once again eating healthier and following weight watchers. Nate still has some weight to lose to get to his goal weight. I am pretty much where I want to be, I just need to get back into the routine again. My goal this year is to try to find time to start exercising again. I haven't done anything since I was about 30 weeks pregnant and I just feel flabby. The only thing getting in my way is time. I can't figure out when I can do it working full time and chasing a toddler around every day. We will see how this goes. One week into it and I am still not sure. Emersen decided for her new years resolution that it was time to give up the binky. She is 18-months old, she is a big girl now, and it was time. We are pleased to announce that Emersen is binky free. On the night of 1/1 we took them away and so far she has done pretty good. One time I had one in the junk drawer in the kitchen, and I have seen her go over to the junk drawer and rummage through it trying to find that binky. But I have moved them to a place she will never see them. Good memory for a toddler!

Christmas Part II in Texas

All of the Mansfield's descended upon Keller, TX to celebrate the holidays at Bob and Jeannine's house, and it was a full and very busy house. 1 baby, 1 toddler, 2 kids, 4 parents and 2 grandparents. And it was great to see everyone again and meet the newest member, Nadia, who was born last June. Also this year with Emersen being older and more active she got to play with her cousins John and Joe, which by the way was awesome. I am on the lookout to rent an 8 and 10 year old every weekend to play with her. They kept her so entertained the entire time we were there that she really was a joy to be around. Not that she isn't usually, but I feel a lot of times she gets bored with us on the weekends since we have to do stuff like go grocery shopping and clean the house, which is no fun to her.

Christmas morning we let the kids all open their presents first and then the adults went a little later. Emersen got her first laptop from her grammie and papa which right now she just presses all of the buttons, but is definitely something she will enjoy the older she gets. That afternoon we had a turkey feast with all of the fixins, which of course I ate to much and didn't make it up much past 9 that night. Between the food and Emersen waking up at 5:45 every day, I was exhausted!

As always, time went by way to quickly and it was time for us to leave. Thankfully we didn't have any flight issues like we did coming back from Ft Myers. We got home in time and were able to pick up Spencer from the kennel and then I was back at work the next day. Though as soon as I got home I was ready to take down all of the Christmas decorations and get back to normal. I am just glad the holidays are over. Not that it was not great to see family and get a little time off work, but I was ready to get into 2011. Here are a few pics of all the kiddos over Christmas.
