This may be crude to some, but we think it is hilarious.
When Emersen or one us us burps, she always goes "oink, oink oink" afterwards.
Of course, in the future we will probably change out mind, but for the time being it keeps us entertained.
Just a general "what's happening" in the lives of the Georgia Mansfield's - Nate, Heather, Emersen and Spencer.

Vacation, Birthday, New Job, 4th of July...what else have I missed?
Once again time has slipped by and we are almost in the middle of July. At this point vacation is over, Emersen is 2 years old, I am going on the 3rd week at my new job and 4th of July has passed.
First off I will start off with Isle of Palms, SC. It was awesome with the pool and the beach and the house, though very, very hot. We didn't do many touristy things because it was so hot. Also trying to keep a 2 year in a stroller for more than 30 minutes just doesn't work that well these days. I think I ate shrimp n' grits at 3 different places and each was just as good as the place before. As always, the week flew by and it was time to head home, but this time I was actually excited to go to work on Monday at my new job. So far I really like the company and my co-workers. I am getting to work on new and different types of projects that I have not done before. It is going to take a lot of effort to not get fat at this place though. They have snacks, candy, and cookies everywhere, and I have very little self control. So far I have only hit the candy drawer a couple of times, but I have only been there for 2 weeks.
On Emersen's birthday, we did only what she would want to do. We started the day off at the beach. Then we came home, had lunch and then a nap. Once she woke up we opened presents, had ice cream cake and then went swimming in the pool. Then that evening we went out to dinner, which is actually not something that she wanted to do, but we didn't want to cook :) But all in all she had a really good day.
Over the 4th of July we didn't really do much. On Saturday, Em and I went up to see the St Johns and go swimming. Other than that we mostly hung out at home, we were all still tired from all the traveling and vacationing the week before.
This past weekend we went to a birthday party of a classmate of Emersen's. I commented that going into this, Em would know more people than we would, which is a weird thing to me. It is like my baby has this whole other life that I really don't know much about. I guess I just need to get used to it, since it is part of growing up.
